Wanted to do a time consuming piece since I usually don’t have the patience for these things. There’s a gif of the process on my portfolio blog.
I was inspired last night to redo my Schoolboy Q illustration. I think it’s a vast improvement. More on my blog.
This was supposed to be Erykah Badu but since it looks nothing liker her I’ll just go with “inspired by Erykah Badu”. More on my blog.
A piece that started from a tiny sketch that I did on the bus. I may turn this into a series. More on my portfolio site.

Some personal work I did last night.
Last week I bought a new Fujifilm X20. I also bought a 16inch tall Gloomy Bear figure. Photos happened.
I felt the need to draw Schoolboy Q, so I did.
Playing with pixels.
I made another stupid gif.
I made a guy with a wiggly face.
Here is a stupid gif I made.
This is an album cover I illustrated for Potholes In My Blog’s tribute to Sam Cooke, a compilation of beats sampling his music. More here.
The children’s book about DJ Kool Herc that I illustrated for Laban Carrick Hill and Roaring Brook Press is up for pre-order on Amazon.com!
I spent a ton of time on this project. Lots of long nights… Not sure if that release date is final. I thought it would be out in July. But whatever, I’m just enjoying how surreal it is to see my work on Amazon, where I spend all of my money.
